Come join us at our next bicycle club meeting on the first Thursday of each month. Everyone is welcome, member and non-member alike. Our meetings last about an
hour and allow you to find out what kind of cycling events are going on in the South Valley area and meet fellow riders. We look
forward to seeing you there.
The Southern Sierra Cyclists bicycle club serves the Counties of Tulare and Kings, including the cities of Visalia, Tulare, Exeter, Porterville, Hanford, and Lemoore.

April is designated as National Distracted Driving Awareness Month by the National Safety Council.
Eighty percent of American drivers believe hands-free devices are safer than using a handheld phone. That is just not the case. More than 30 studies show hands-free devices are no safer because the brain remains distracted by the conversation. When talking on a cell phone, drivers can miss seeing up to half of what's around them, such as traffic lights, stop signs, cyclists on the road, children on balance bikes, pedestrians.....

BICYCLE RACING RETURNS TO DOWNTOWN VISALIA
The Budweiser Sequoia Cycling Classic is an exciting Criterium Race that will take place in Downtown Visalia on April 26th. Some out-of-the-area riders and teams will need host housing in order to participate. Providing host housing is a great way to meet the racers and to help make local bike racing a reality. Who knows; you may have a future Tour de France winner camping out on your living room floor. Click the photo or this LINK to learn more.
